A Message from Jeff Barber, Library Director and CEO

On March 25, 2026, Regina City Council confirmed for us that there is currently not enough debt room to proceed with the current Central Library Renewal Project, as proposed.

We are disappointed, of course. We understand there isn’t enough funding to go around at this time.

Central Library Renewal is not over, and no decisions about what to do next have been made at this point.

We appreciate the support we are receiving from the public for this project.
